Hurricane Sandy
The East Coast was hit by a huge, late season hurricane this week. Since exactly one year ago was the bad snow storm in which we lost power for a week, we were prepared for this one with water, flashlights, a freezer stocked with ice, etc. and naturally we didn't lose power, just flickered a dozen times or so. We feel very fortunate that we somehow escaped this one because much of the East Coast and CT, NJ and NY coasts were badly hit. Daycare was closed on Monday and Tuesday so Kellen and I had fun baking and doing some crafts while we were housebound. Kellen's favorite part of baking is eating the dough and frosting.

Exersaucer Time
Liam's been doing great with his head control so we decided to break out the exersaucer and see how he did with it. He was a little overwhelmed at first but he likes it and it gives us another place to add to the rotation when you need to put him somewhere for a few minutes that is somewhat safe from Kellen. :-)

Moran Family Gathering
We don't get a chance to get together with my Dad's family all that often since all the kids are grown and we are scattered around the Northeast. However, we managed to find a day when most of us could get together for the day on Cape Cod.
I traveled with both boys solo, and they did great. On the way out I met my parents on the Mass Pike and my mom drove with us which was very helpful. On the way home I was alone with the boys, but Liam slept the whole way and Kellen watched Mickey Mouse DVDs. It actually was a surprisingly good trip.
It was so nice to see everyone and get the next generation of Moran boys together. It will be even more fun the older and crazier they get!!
My Little Pumpkin
Who doesn't love pictures of babies at the pumpkin patch?! I got some really cute ones of Liam in honor of his 3 month birthday!

Lunch Date
We celebrated Liam's 3 month birthday with a visit from my mom, Gail and her mother Arlene. We had a great time and Liam loved having lunch with all the ladies.
He has recently discovered his feet and when I put his new shoes on him he became quite obsessed. It was very cute!

A Day at the Fair
It was a beautiful fall day on Saturday. We decided to check out the Harwinton Fair. It's a small, local fair but it had all the animals, rides, music and fair food - perfect for a 2 year old.
Kellen's favorite was the piglets - they were only 3 days old. He also liked the band with the fiddle and the midway and not surprisingly, the fried dough...

Family Resemblance??
So everyone always says how much they look alike. What do you think?
Keep in mind for size comparison, this is Kellen at 4 months and Liam at 2 months.
